Death to the Cybermen
In the beginning there were cyborgs, who took over the land in the desert world, until they were slowly assimilated as the sands died away.
This book is a collection of modern poetry covering a variety of themes such as the threat of mythical cyborgs, the riotous red bull of Queen Maeve, and the haunting beauty of the girl next door. These poems spark the imagination with vivid imagery and tonal colour. The author explores a more classical approach to the romantic poetry genre.£3.50 -
Painting with Words
Life is a journey where we gather experiences, discover the depths of love, and ultimately face the searing pain of parting – whether through death, overwhelming grief, or the surreal void left by those we’ve lost. The absence of a spouse, a partner, a child, once so present, now gone, creates a chasm we struggle to comprehend.
The poems in this collection reflect the author’s observations on the human condition, capturing the profound joy of love and the deep ache of loss that inevitably follows. While deeply personal, these poems are meant to resonate universally with anyone who has lived, loved, and grieved. They offer a mirror to life’s highs and lows, holding moments of humour, joy, and sorrow, and ultimately honouring a life well lived.

The Elements of Excellence
The Elements of Excellence is a series of poems; a source of motivation and guidance, borne from many years of someone trying to write something that can help people all over the world.
At first, the author didn’t know how he was going to do this, but as he wrote more about different virtues and what they meant to him, he realised that he wanted to help others do three things: achieve their goals, be good human beings, and find happiness, no matter their situation, state of mind, or aspect of life they wished to grow or achieve in. For him, doing all three is excellence, and he was sure that anyone can do these consistently, as long as they knew how.
Concise and easy to read, this is different from the usual self-help book. Poetry can resonate with people beautifully, and if it helped the author, a person with modest education in writing and literature, to realise one of his goals in publishing this type of book, it can surely help others in profound and spectacular ways.

Coffee and Solace
Within is the laundry list of a poor unfortunate soul, a hungry flirtatious sweet tooth.
She is Icarus without Apollo.
Reborn from ashes hoping to turn the residual melancholy into a spectacle.
She writes of heartache and loneliness, joy, and comfort, how art shapes her world.
She writes with a burning, writhing need to understand her humanity.
She writes about everyone she’s ever met, and the people she never will.
Within is a love letter to herself, and to all the ones who can’t use their words.
Within is a promise to keep loving all the beautiful, disgusting, amazing, horrendous parts of herself.
She writes alone in the a.m, hoping her words scream loud enough before her coffee goes cold.£3.50 -
Triumph of the Imagination
These poems seemed to write themselves over twenty years, until I was about forty years old, a time when I was teaching and bringing up a family of very lively nippers.
The nippers have now developed into very effective leaders!
This is my response to ‘Triumph of the Will’…
Triumph of the Imagination.
They are best read in sequence at about a third a session, I suggest. I hope you enjoy them.
